Custom Sofreh Aghd Design for Southern California Weddings

Royaal’s Sofreh Aghd service covers:

• Design planning: the layout, palette and ceremonial pieces.
• Rental selection and styling: the mirror, candelabras, textiles, trays and other pieces agreed in your proposal.
• Wedding-day service: delivery, on-site arrangement and pickup of rental items.

Confirm separately whether your quote includes seating, a backdrop, sugar cloth, fresh flowers, honey, sweets or other consumables. These should be itemized rather than assumed.

Allow roughly 2–4 hours as an initial planning window; elaborate floral work or difficult load-in may take longer. This is an estimate, not a fixed setup duration. We confirm the installation schedule after reviewing the design and venue access.

The important deadline is when the entire Sofreh is photo-ready, not when our team arrives. Share your photographer’s empty-room/detail-shot time so we can plan to finish before those photographs and before guests enter.

We can keep the mirror-and-candelabra composition using flameless candles. If burning esfand is prohibited, it can be included unlit in a decorative bowl, subject to the venue’s rules.

Ask the venue about both open flame and smoke or incense before approving the design. We won’t plan to light candles or burn esfand without the venue’s express permission.

Yes. For garden, estate and coastal ceremonies, the layout needs to account for wind, uneven ground, changing sunlight and venue restrictions. We favor stable display pieces, secure loose fabric and discuss flameless candles when appropriate.

Send photos of the exact ceremony area, its surface and the planned ceremony time. We also recommend agreeing on an indoor or covered backup location if rain or strong wind would make the outdoor setup unsafe.

Not for every wedding. A dimensioned floor plan, photos or a video walkthrough, the couple’s chair measurements, and venue load-in rules are often enough to prepare the design.

A walkthrough may be useful for unusual layouts, restricted access, uneven outdoor spaces or large custom structures. Once we review your venue information, we can determine whether an on-site visit is necessary.

Not automatically. A Sofreh booking covers the ceremonial display and the design and setup services listed in your quote; the person conducting the Aghd is a separate service. Royaal’s broader wedding production offerings may include an officiant when quoted.

If you have your own officiant, share the order of readings, rings, sugar ceremony and honey ritual so the objects are placed where they will be used.

For a peak-season Saturday, contacting us 6–12 months ahead is a sensible target, especially for a large custom design. The first details we need are your date, venue and approximate ceremony location.

Shorter notice may still work depending on the calendar and the rental pieces needed, so it’s worth checking your date even if your wedding is close.

Yes. You can use Hafez, a sacred text chosen by your family, or another meaningful book, and combine the Aghd with English-language vows or a second tradition.
